Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our healthcare professionals are going through a tough time making sure that the cases don’t increase and vaccinate as many people as possible.
As a future Nursing Assistant, you will go through many hurdles. While we can’t promise that things will get easier, there are things you can do to take care of your mental health despite the challenges.
These hurdles will be unlike the challenges you will face in your CNA Classes in Colorado. That is why Eezy Training Institute has asked seasoned nurses for tips on how to care for your mental health. Take a look:
- Take your breaks
It can be tempting to work during your breaks in order to get as many things done before your shift ends. But this can only hurt your overall well-being. Don’t feel guilty. You deserve all the rest you can get.
- Look after your body during shifts
It can be hard to find enough time to eat while you run around attending to your patients. You can prep easy and healthy meals before your shifts and bring healthy snacks with you at all times.
- Don’t bring work to your home
Things can happen at work that can keep you up at night. One tip we can give is to have a “going home checklist”. This should contain the events that happened in your shift, what mistakes you made, and the things that went well.
